SUSU Will Host PCT 2024 Conference on Supercomputers and Neural Networks

April 2nd through April 4th, the 18th International Scientific Conference on Parallel Computational Technologies (PCT’2024) will be held at South Ural State University. PCT is an authoritative and prestigious forum in the field of application of parallel computing technologies and machine learning in various fields of science and technology. The founders of the conference are the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Supercomputer Consortium of Russian Universities.

The conference topics cover all aspects of the use of cloud, supercomputer and neural network technologies in science and engineering, including applications, hardware and software, specialized models, languages, libraries and packages. The conference will include a supercomputer exhibition, where leading hardware and software manufacturers will present their latest developments in high-performance computing.

The conference originated at SUSU in 2007, and since then our university has been one of its leading organizers. PCT is held annually at Russian universities or institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, changing the city each year. The conference has already visited Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Volgograd, Kaliningrad, Kazan, Arkhangelsk, Perm, and Dubna. Chelyabinsk hosted the conference previously in 2007 and 2013.

More than 70 reports will be presented at the conference. Among the participants are representatives of leading scientific schools from Russian universities and research institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, IT companies and industrial enterprises. As part of the PCT, a competition of reports by young scientists under 30 years of age is held, which is a highlight of the conference. A jury appointed by the PCT Program Committee will determine the winners, who will be awarded certificates and cash prizes.

Based on the results of the PCT, accepted full articles in English will be published in the collection of the Communications in Computer and Information Science series published by Springer, which is indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science bibliographic databases. Short articles and descriptions of posters will be published electronically and indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI). The best full articles will receive a recommendation for publication in the Supercomputing Frontiers and Innovations international scientific journal (Scopus Q2). The best short articles will be recommended for publication in the scientific journal Bulletin of SUSU. Series: Computational Mathematics and Software Engineering (K-1 category of the List of the State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles, Russian Science Citation Index).

Research and teaching staff, undergraduate and graduate students of SUSU can attend the conference sessions as listeners. Detailed information about PCT, its program and meeting schedule can be found on the website: https://agora.guru.ru/pavt.
